Why the company exists
Cabinet IQ began with its founder’s own bad remodel. Michael Hartel — an engineer with a PhD who spent his career building systems where process is everything — was struck less by what his kitchen cost than by how chaotic the project felt. His response was to re-engineer the whole kitchen-and-bath experience into a defined, repeatable process, from the first conversation through final installation.
That process is what the Scottsdale location runs today: four named stages (Discover, Design, Deployment, Deliver), one accountable team, and constant communication in between.
Local owners, national system
Nick and Kelly Bowden own and operate the Scottsdale location. Nick’s path ran from motorcycle mechanics (starting in 2005) through sales, service, and a Matco Tools franchise, then into Arizona real estate and construction, where remodeling and multifamily projects taught him how much planning quality determines project quality. Kelly has managed business operations for Bowden Investment Group for eight years, working on commercial real estate and upscale renovations.
The franchise structure means homeowners get both things at once: owners who answer their own phone, and the buying power, product lines, and tested playbook of a national brand.
